Of Dying Vans, Discriminatory Hotels, and Silkens…Lots of Silkens
The Sprinter van was officially declared dead Friday morning. The motor mounts had rusted and/or broken and the engine had shifted. The catalytic converter was also shot. It was a 2003 model and had over 319,000 miles on it – we had worked it hard, but it was still sad to bid adieu. Since I was headed down to Magnolia for a Silken Windhound specialty, near a friend of our’s dealership, and they actually had some vans available there... Once again it was time for my annual excursion to the Fall specialty hosted by the Rocky Mountain Borzoi Club in Longmont, Colorado. It’s always great to meet up and visit with the folks in the area, as well as getting to see all the lovely local borzoi there. My traveling companion was Leslie and her lovely girl Danika – their first trip to RMBC.

On Saturday, Solo took 5th out of 8 running. On Sunday we brought Harli and Foxx for JCs and they both each earned their first leg! Solo had the day off, so Magik and Sassi came along. But Magik was, ahem, creative, and Sassi declined to participate with the strange dogs.
