On Friday, Deckard was Reserve Winners Dog and Nox was Reserve Winners Bitch with Shugah winning her first point by going Winners Bitch/Best Opposite Sex.

On Saturday, Deckard went Winners Dog for a major and Shugah went Winners Bitch AND Best of Winners for the crossover major!

On Sunday Shugah was Reserve and Solo was awarded Best of Breed.

This show cluster was a BCOA TSE on Saturday.Wulf and Buster were 2nd and 3rd respectively in their Sweeps class. Arthur came away as Best Veteran in Sweeps. In the regular classes, Wulf took 2nd in his class. We didn’t show Buster since he had spooked in his Sweeps class and we didn’t want to exacerbate things. Bugg won the Open class and then went on to win Winners Bitch for a 5-point major!

On Saturday, Wulf ended up being the only dog entry thanks to some absences, and the points didn’t crossover. Of course, considering what a pill he was being, he didn’t deserve a crossover anyway! Bugg was Reserve Winners Bitch. Solo won Best of Breed and then wowed us by getting a Group 1!

On Sunday both Wulf and Bugg got Reserves, with Solo again winning Best of Breed and getting a cut in the Group.

Buster placed 2nd in his class (6-9 Puppy) and Wulf 4th (Bred-By). Solo went on to win Best of Breed in a nice-sized total entry.

On Sunday Buster was 2nd and Wulf 3rd. Bugg was 4th in the Open class (largest entry). Solo again won the breed and then went on to a Group 4. Solo was also doing double duty this weekend with coursing in between the class and groups!

Cypress Creek Kennel Club of Texas dog shows (and BCOA TSE)

The BCOA’s Trophy Supported Entry was on Saturday. We had a pretty good day with Arthur going Best in Veteran Sweeps (by default, being the only entry – but he had fun!). We had meant to debut two of the “Boogie Babies” – Wulf and Buster – but hard play in the yard had bruised them up and they weren’t their best when gaiting [sigh]. Sometimes you just wanna wrap those puppies in bubble wrap to protect them.

Bugg won the Open Bitch class and went on to take Winners Bitch! A shame that a pup that had been in Sweeps did not show up for the regular classes and broke the major.

Solo went on to win Best of Breed and then won a Hound Group 1 under Prof. Doug Taylor!! We were beyond thrilled – his first Group 1 and still a baby!!

On Saturday at TTKC Moose won Winners Dog for another point and Lars took Reserve from the BBE class. Solo won Best of Breed and then went on to win a Hound Group 3 under Dan Dowling (Velox Borzoi). Needless to say – a VERY exciting day for us!

On Sunday, Moose again took Winners Dog and finished his championship! Solo won Best of Breed and then took a Group 2!
